So it has been a rough week this week and I think that Max (our boxer) deserves a post of his own. Monday morning at about 4 a.m. I woke up to Max whining really loudly and trying to get outside so I got up and let him out. I waited for a few minutes for him to come back but he didn't so I went looking for him and found him laying in the back yard, so i went and got him and brought him back inside. He went to his bed but continued to whine really loudly. I went to sleep and woke up at about 7 a.m. and he had puked a few times. (Max would often get sick so I didn't think too much about it.) Well it was a really beautiful day outside so I had him go out in his kennel for the day so I wouldn't have to clean up after him all day. He continued to whine, but he was drinking water and getting up when I would check on him so I wasn't too concerned. At about noon he was no longer puking or whining so I thought he was starting to get better. Well at about 4 p.m. I had to leave for work so Kevin was home and had him out. He looked pretty miserable and his tummy was quite bloated, but I have definitely seen him worse off, so I gave him a quick pat on the head and left. Kevin put him back in his kennel and went inside. At about 7 p.m. when I came home, Kevin went back out to check on him and he had been dead for a few hours. We figure he must have died shortly after Kevin put him back in his kennel. This was a complete shock to us, like I said he would often get sick and one time he was so sick he wouldn't even move, we would have to carry him, but he would always recover. Sunday night he was completely himself and he had even eaten before he went to bed. But he got sick really fast and within a little over 12 hours he had died. Max was the best dog! Mercedes could pull on his ears, jab his eyes, and climb all over him and he loved every minute of it. He was a very loving dog and he loved to play. He was only 6 years old. We really miss him! Here are a few pictures of him while he was alive.

That is so sad.
Sorry, loosing a pet is quite painful I think. Max was a good, loving dog.
Oh, I am so sorry. That just makes my heart hurt. We have a Boxer and they really are the best dogs.
So sorry! He was a great dog! How sad!
Poor Max! Well I know you gave him a great life while he was with you. You should get another dog!
