Baby Update

Okay, so I know I have been MIA for a while, but this month has been crazy! We have been franticly trying to get things ready for the new baby and I have become progressively more exhausted. I finally got everything bought, washed, and organized, so I think physically we are finally ready. Considering it has almost been 5 years since I have had a baby, I don't think any amount of preparation will get me emotionally ready. I am scared to death, but really excited. So I might lose you all here, but for me this is almost like having a first baby. With Alexis the situation wasn't ideal so I really wasn't able to enjoy it and I was so young that I really didn't have a clue. With Colin, I already had a very young toddler so once again there wasn't much chance to really appreciate everything fully. Now my kids are so much older it was almost like starting from scratch. New crib, rocking chair, clothes, all these things that we no longer had. I had even forgotten how it feels to be 8 1/2 months pregnant. Anyway enough of that. This week my Dr. told me I wasn't going to make it to Halloween. She thought that there is a good chance that the baby would come before my next appt. which is on Tue. This is bitter sweet for me because I have struggled so much this month. I can't sleep, I am exhausted all day and by evening I feel like I have run a marathon, I ache all over and feel sick. Poor Kevin gets to listen to me complain all night. On the other hand I would so love to have a Halloween baby. Oh well, come what may. For those that are interested I am 3 cm dialated and 75% effaced, oh yes and the last 3 days I have been having contractions like crazy, but nothing consistent.

As much fun as a Halloween baby would be I would give anything to have a kid earlier with both of my preganancies I was in the hospital by the time I was at where you were at! Good luck with everything I am excited to see fun pictures! Love you!

Congrats on the upcoming baby. I was scheduled to take my IUD out on Tuesday but called and canceled. =) The nurse asked why and I just said, "I've had a heck of a day, and I don't think I want more than two kids." She thought that was funny. lol I'm so glad to hear that my friends are preparing for things. It puts my heart at ease. I don't fear it all. I just do the best I can and know my Heavenly Father will help me out if I say worthy. Hope all goes well with the new baby. Love your face.

Hang in there! The last little while of being pregnant is so hard. I'm crossing my fingers that you'll make it to Halloween. Having kids that are older makes it so much easier to enjoy a new baby. I thought it would be hard to get back in the swing of things when I had Destrie (he is 7 years younger than Madee) but honestly, it was great. I was able to just enjoy every moment and being older myself I knew what I was doing and I think I was more patient. Anyway, good luck with everything and have Kevin call us when the baby gets here!
